Harry C. Remley, 78, retired Montgomery County farmer, died Thursday at 8:20 p.m. in Culver Hospital. He had been serious since Saturday and in Culver Hospital for two days. The son of Ambrose & Minerva Shelby Remley, he was born June 14, 1873 in the Wesley community. He married Alice Brown Feb 22, 1898, near Crawfordsville. His wife died in August 1941. He was a graduate of the Wesley grade school and now defunct Wesley Academy. After his marriage the couple moved to Hoopeston, Ill, where he farmed 3 years. They then moved to a farm south of Wesley and in 1935 to on north of Crawfordsville. He made his home with a daughter, Mrs. David Loveless, Waynetown HS music and art teacher for a number of years after his wife's death. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Shirl Herr of Crawfordsville; a brother, Fred Remley of Crawfordsville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Bright Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday where services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine of Waynetown, officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
