CRAWFORDSVILLE — William E.
Rehmel, 80, Crawfordsville, died at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10, 2006 in Hickory Creek,
Crawfordsville. He was born Jan. 23, 1926 in Sullivan County, the son of Claude
L. and Gertha E. (Clark) Rehmel. He married Mary E. Riley March 16, 1957 in
Carbon. She survives. He retired from Raybestos. He was a retired minister at
the Church of God out of Cleveland, Tenn. He served in the U. S. Army during
World War II. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, William (Rita)
Rehmel, Veedersburg and Steve (Cindy) Rehmel, Covington; two daughters, Pamela
(Brent) Smith, Somerset, Ky. and Dianne (Harold) Caldwell, Crawfordsville; a
brother, Everett (Pauline) Rehmel, Jasonville; 12 grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a
sister, and a grandson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in
Hall Funeral Home, Kingman, with Pastor Duane McClure and Bishop Keith Ivester
officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be
from noon until time of service. – jlr
