NEW MARKET -- Mrs. Pauline Marie Reeves, 64, was found dead at her home here early Monday morning. Her death was termed intentional. Born Sept. 27, 1898, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Theodore and Fannie Myers Friend. Her marriage to Noble Reeves took place Feb. 24, 1923, at New Market. She was a member of the New Market Methodist Church and of Athens Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Crawfordsville. The survivors include the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce E. Eskew, Pompano Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kem and Deborah Eskew; three brothers, Ellis Friend of Crawfordsville, Buford Friend of New Market and Arthur Friend of Darlington, and four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hester, Mrs. Opal Rice and Mrs. Nellie Swearingen, all of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Eva Gentry of New Market. A brother and three sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market, with Rev. William Goddard Sherman and Rev. Calvin Miller in charge. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
