Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Louis Reese, in Chicago, May 4. Mrs. Lillie Reese was the daughter of John and Mary A.V. Reed, and she was born sixty-eight years ago in the house on East Main street now owned by D.A. Lough. She married Columbus F. Moore, who died after they moved to Chicago. She afterwards married Louis Reese, who is also dead. She died suddenly and it is supposed that death was caused by goitre, from which she had suffered for many years. Her last visit here was about twenty years ago. She is survived by one brother, Charles Reed of Elizabethtown, Ky. She was a member of the M.E. Church. Her father ran a nursery here and brought the maple trees, of which there are so many in Waveland, from Ohio. The first trees were set out in front of his own place.
