Reed - Margaret Robbins

VEEDERSBURG – Mrs. Margaret G. Reed, 57, for many years resident of this community, died Thursday in the home of a son, Robert G. Reed of 807 E. College St., Crawfordsville. She had made her home with the son for several months while seriously ill. She had been in poor health for four years. Mrs. Reed had been employed as a waitress and factory worker. Born Feb. 21, 1916, at Champaign, Ill., she was the daughter of Gilbert and Norma M. Hall Robbins. She was married at Champaign in 1929 to Harry K. Reed. He died May 21 in Florida. Surviving in addition to the son are four brothers. Henry Robbins of Venice. Fla., Gilbert Robbins of Columbus, Ohio, Joe Robbins of Danville. Ill., Harold Robins of Torrence, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. William (Leona) Booher of Englewood. Calif., and Mrs. Vernon (Irene) Berlin of Veedersburg, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Fishero-Dickerson Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert Shotts officiating, Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. – jlr
