Mrs. Helen L. Reed, Crawfordsville native, was pronounced dead on arrival 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Lake View Memorial Hsopital, Danville, Ill., where she was rushed after being stricken at a laundromat. Mrs. Reed, 68, is survived by a son, William of Crawfordsville. She resided at 923 Martin St., Danville. Born on Sept. 1, 1900, she was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Mason. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School. The deceased was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene. Surviving besides the son, are a sister, Mrs. Mae Thomas of Lafayette; a brother, Walter of Marion, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, a daughter and brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 1 p.m. CST Saturday in the Barrick & Son Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. James Robbins in charge. Graveside rites will be conducted at 3:20 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
