Waynetown --Howard C. Redmon, 82 of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville who owned and opearted a farm near here for more than 45 years died Friday afternoon of an apparent heart attack at his home. In addition to running the farm, he worked 43 years as a telegraph operator for the Big Four Railroad. He was a veteran of WWI and served 10 months in France. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302 and Crawforedsville Veterans of Foreign Wars. Born Nov 10, 1894 at Mt. Sterling he was the son of Joseph T. and Ora Wills Redmon. He was married Dec 1, 1921 to Pearl June Shanklin. She died in 1966. Survivors include 4 sons, Robert of Crawfordsville, Walte rof Waynetown, John of Reynolds and Joe at home; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Myers and Mrs. Mildred Harwood of Crawfordsville; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchilren. He was preceded in death by a sister and grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Joe MIller and Rev. Homer Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be at the cemetery. kbz
