Robert “Bobbie” Kiah Rector, 69, died
Tuesday April 17, 2001 at Tandem Health Care in Melbourne. Mr. Rector was born
in Crawfordsville, Ind. He came to Brevard County in 1987 from Lafayette, Ind.
He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Rector
retired in 1987 from Alcoa after 34 years as a die corrector. He was a member of the Greater Palm Bay
Senior Center, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles. Mr. Rector is survived by his
wife, Lola Rector of Palm Bay; sons Gerald Gibson of Lafayette, Ind and Phillip
Gibson of Crawfordsville, Ind; daughter Peggy Hensley of Palm Bay; sons Bruce
Gibson of Crawfordsville and Kenny Rector of Lafayette, Ind, daughter Diana
Cartwright of Indianapolis, Ind and Sheila Woodhouse of Houston, Texas; sons,
Robert Rector of Houston and Danny Rector of Port Lavaca, Texas; daughter,
Penny Olson of Houston; sisters Mary Swank and Lottie Sarver both of
Crawfordsville; brother, Clifford Rector of Darlington, Ind; 32 grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. Thursday
at Palm Bay Funeral Home. Services will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Indiana. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society
