VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Vivian Ratcliff, age 79, of 403 S. Mill St., Veedersburg, died at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill., Saturday evening. She was born near Marshfield on July 9, 1889, the daughter of John and Polly Dillman Long. Her husband, Alvin Ratcliff, died April 15, 1954. Mrs. Ratcliff was a member of the Centennial EUB Church, east of Yeddo. Surviving are: four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Swinford of Sidell, Ill., Mrs. Elizabeth Clingan of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Ruth Soyer of Inverness, Fla., and Mrs. Ester Thomas of Kingman; three sons, George of near Tangier, Wilbur at home, and Leo of Cockeysville, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Della Wilhite of Veedersburg and Mrs. Mabel Scott of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiated. Burial was in the Centennial Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
