Word has been received of the death of Sylvester Ratcliff, 74, who died Oct 30 at Indianapolis. Mr. Ratcliff was AF of WWII. He was born Jan 29, 1911 in Fountain County to Everett and Olia Ratcliff. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Mike of Indianapolis and Roger of Plainfield; two daughters, Nora of Indianapolis and Julia of Cullman Ala; two brothers, Charles Ratcliff and James Ratcliff, both of Veedersburg; a sister Geneva Chamness of Marshall and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son and brother, Joe Ratcliff. --kbz
