James Ratcliff, 69 died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital. he was a member of the Elmdale Commun Church and former K of P Lodge at Waynetown. He attended Wallace HS. He had been employed by Meadow Gold & Kroger dairies and state and county highway departments. He retired in 1976 from Fauber construction. He was born Jan 9, 1913 in Taylor County, KY the son of Albert G. and Julia Allen Ratcliff. He was married Feb 3, 1934 to Helen Hatton. She survives. He is survived by his son and daughter -n-law Fred & Linda Ratcliff of Indianapolis; a nephew, Kenneth Ratcliff of Attica who was reared in the Ratcliff home, a sister, Margaret Livengood of Waynetown; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Services will be at 2:30 pm. Wednesday in the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Swank officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.   --kbz

 James Ratcliff of Waynetown, age 69, died Sunday morning, May 2, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 9, 1913, the son of Albert and Julia Allen Ratcliff. February 3, 1934, he married Helen Hatton, who survives.
  He was a member of Elmdale Community Church, he had been employed by Meadow Gold Dairy and Krogers in Crawfordsville, the state and county highway departments and Fauber Construction Company, retiring from Fauber in 1976.
  Also surviving are a son, Fred of Indianapolis; a sister, Margaret Livengood of Waynetown; a nephew he had reared, Kenneth Ratcliff of Attica; and two granddaughters.
  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Jack Swank officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – kbz
