Funeral services were at 2 p.,m. Monday July 9 1984, at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown for Gordon Ratcliff, 86, of Route 1, Hillsboro (Wallace). He died at 8 a.m. Saturday July 7 at Lakeview Medical Center. The Rev. Karl Korbel officiated. Burial was in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. He retired from farming in 1980. He lived most of his life in the Wallace community. He was a member of Wallace Phanuel Lutheran Church,of which he was a council member. He was a member of the Fountain County Farm Bureau. He was born June 19 1898, southeast of Kingman, the son of Miles 'Pete' and Nettie Livengood Ratcliff. He married Daisy Hutson Nov 8 1922 in Rockville. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Lowell, Route 1 Hillsboro, a daughter Mrs. Tom (Alberta) Pugh, Clermont; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Leon, two grandchildren and an infant brother.
