Mrs. Mary Angeline Rardin, 88 died early on Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry McCarty. Funeral services at the Machledt funeral home on Saturday afternoon were in charge of Rev. Raymond Hartling. Mrs. Fred Rice and Mrs. Charles F. Moore accompanied by Mr. Walker, sang The Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden. The casket was borne by Francis and Charles McCarty; Clyde and Cecil Rardin; Don Hall and Edgar Branson. The flowers were carried by Mrs. Guy Heslar; Mrs Ivan Harris and Mrs. May Taylor. Burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Rardin was born in Harrison County, the daughter of Claiborne and Phoebe Myers. She married Timothy Rardin, a Civil War veteran now dead at Veedersburg, May 18, 1883. Before coming to live with her daughter she had lived in Annapolis. Besides Mrs. McCarty there are two sons, Ben Rardin of Long Beach, California and Cecil Rardin of Rockville 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. - transcribed with love for her "Wavelandites" - kbz
