Wingate – Hugh Rankin, 85 of Williamsburg Nursing Care Center in Crawfordsville died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. Mr. Rankin had farmed in the Montgomery County area most of his life. He was born March 16, `1900 in Knoxville, Tennessee. On Sept 13, 1920 he married Mary Ellen Glascock who died June 9, 1972. Surviving are a son, Robert Rankin of Wingate; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Houchens of Advance and two brothers, James Rankin of Ladoga and Ernest Rankin of Crawfordsville – kbz
