VEEDERSBURG -- William Henry Ramsey, of 1415 Flagler Dr., Clearwater, Fla., died Sunday at 9 a.m. A former resident of Veedersburg, he had been in failing health during the past year. He was 78. He was born in southern Illinois July 24, 1890, a son of John and Sarah Wilmore Ramsey. On Nov. 30, 1912, he was married to Lyle Youngblood, who survives. Most of his adult life was spent here and in Covington. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Hillsboro. He served as sheriff and treasurer of Fountain County. He had also been a garage owner and a automobile salesman. Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Snelling of Clearwater; a sister, Mrs. Johnye Johns of Crawfordsville; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Ellen Morehouse, and Miss Ruth Beaver, all of Veedersburg; and a granddaughter. Fishero Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. The body is to arrive from Florida Wednesday morning. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Fishero Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. --typed by Walt W
