Ramsey - William

Source: Waveland Independent newspaper, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana Dec 19, 1902

Will Ramsey of Crawfordsville was instantly killed and Oliver Harshbarger of Lebanon was seriously injured on Sunday morning while working on the Big Four near Bridgeton. The men were clearing up a wreck at the bride which occurred on Saturday. A part of a box car had been shoved against the tops of the piles, putting them on a strain. In working the obstruction was removed. The wreckage flew back knocking both from the bridge which is about 30' high. Ramsey's head struck a projecting timber, crushing his skull and exposing the brain. He died instantly. Harshbarger fell in the creek and escaped with severe bruises unless internal injuries should develop. He is a brother to Milt and Will Harshbarger. kbz
