William Edward Ragsdale (Ladoga)

William Edward Ragsdale, 50 of this place, died suddenly in a local place of business at 9:30 Saturday night. Death was due to heart disease. Mr. Ragsdale had been apparently in the best of health. He had been laughing and joking with a number of friends during the evening and had been discussing the present world's series baseball games just previous to his death. His death was so sudden that it came as a distinct shock to his many friends both here and in the other parts in the county. The deceased was a son of William and Josephine Ragsdale. He was born on a farm near Roachdale on March 5, 1878. His marriage to Emma W. Weitzel of Lebanon took place June 27, 1902. No children were born to this union. Since his marriage he had lived in Ladoga. The survivors are the widow, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Scaggs of Crawfordsville, and a brother, Harry Ragsdale. Funeral services will be held at the home on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. HW Steen of Dayton, former pastor of the Ladoga Church will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in the Roachdale cemetery. - kbz
