John RAGSDALE, 89 died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday at Rockville, RR 2. He was the last survivor of his family. He was born Oct 19, 1865 in Putnam Co the son of William and Sarah Selders Ragsdale. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are 3 nephews, Joseph Shanks of Thorntown; John B. Shanks of Noblesville and Frank Shanks of Waveland and one niece, Mrs. Hubert Smith of NJ. Graveside rites were held at Old Union at 3:00 Monday with Rev. Prevo presiding. - kbz

John and Joe Ragsdale who have been living on the John Lamson place SE of town were taken to the Parke County Home on Monday. It will be remembered that John fell and fractued his hip some months ago. He is still badly crippled and Joe is in poor health and is not able to look after him - kbz
