Radford - Zella Thompson

Zella Mae Radford, Roachdale, died 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in Walnut Creek at Sunset Nursing Home, Greencastle. Mrs. Radford was previously employed by Ben Hur Nursing Home, Baird's Regal Grocery Store at Roachdale, and had owned and operated Roachdale Dry Cleaners during the 1950s. She was a Cub Scout Leader for 13 years. Her memberships included Roachdale Christian Church. She attended the Baird School, near Ladoga. She was born May 6, 1906, at Roachdale, to George and Lydia Myers Thompson. She married John W. Radford on Aug. 18, 1935, at Crawfordsville. He died Aug 12, 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Cornett, Roachdale, and Annette Boller, Russellville; a son, Don, Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Jim Thompson, Lafayette; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A son, George, a brother, one sister and two half brothers are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Friday in Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
