Mrs. Cloe Ray, 66, who lived at 1016 Danville Ave., died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1896, in Putnam County and was the daughter of Benjamin F. and Olive Boyd Duncan. After marrying Glen E. Ray in Danville, Inc., on Sept. 4, 1917, she began housekeeping in Boone County where her husband, who died April 25, 1960, was a farmer. The couple moved to Montgomery County in 1928 and lived near Mace and Smartsburg until Mr. Ray's retirement several years ago. Mrs. Ray was a member of the Mace Methodist Church and of the King's Daughters Sunday school class there. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mac Dinsmore, Wolcott'; two sons, Robert G., Ladoga, and Gene H. Ray, Rt. 1, Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Herschel Gordon, Indianapolis; Mrs. Grover Bailey, Lizton, and Mrs. William Orwig who lives in Florida, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild. Funeral services will be condu cted at the Bright Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Ray Britton of Roachdale. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. -- typed by kbz
