Waynetown - Walter L. Quillin, 80 of Waynetown, died Saturday morning in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He retired in 1959 after 31 years as an agent for Standard Oil. He was a member and chairman of the Waynetown Town Board for two terms, member of Waynetown Christian Church and Waynetown OES 435 and 50-year member and trustee of Waynetown Masonic Lodge. He graduated from WHS and attended Bradley University at Peoria, Ill. Quillin was born March 21, 1898 near Elmdale, a son of Thomas and Minerva Miller Quillin. He married Mildred Krug of Waynetown who preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Richard of Nobelsville and Charles Robert of Pittsburgh, Penn; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Harry Quillin of Frankfort; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. The Rev. Jack swank adn Rev. Herbert Woolard will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call anytime this evening. Masonic services will be 8 this evening.
