Donald Maurice Quillin 46 a former Waynetown resident died at 4 p.m. Friday at his business office in Anchorage AL where he had lived in recent years. He was born Feb 18, 1924 here, a son of Walter and Mildred Krug Quillin. In August 1967 he was married to Bobbey Edney at Anchorage. He was a former member of Waynetown Christian Church a member of Lodge 302, F&AM and graduated from Waynetown HS in 1942. He received a degree in electrical engineering from Purdue and in 1949 served in WWI as a 2nd Lt. in the Air Corps. For the past 20 years he had been employed by Shumberger Oil Surveying, LTD and worked in the southern states and Alaska. Survivors include his wife of Anchorage; his parents of Waynetown; a daughter, Mary Beth Quillan of Pontiac, Mich, a stepdaughter, Care Edney of Anchorage and two brothers, Richard K. of Indianapolis and Dr. Charles R. of Waterville, Mo. Memorial services will be conducted at Waynetown Christian Church at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Donald Felman officiating. The family has requested that contributions be given to the Quillin Memorial Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers. -- kbz
