Eliza E. Jones, daughter of Abner and Elizabeth Jones, was born in this county fifty four years ago. She was married to James Quillen April 5, 1864, and died at her home on West Main Street Monday, Oct. 15, 1900. She leaves a husband and two children, a son and daughter, also a brother and sister, they being Abner Jones, of this city, and Mrs. Wm Wilson. When a child she joined the Methodist Church and lived a consistent Christian life. During her sickness she spoke of death in a familiar way and bore her sufferings patiently, and gave up all, saying it is all right, and met her approaching death without fear. She was kind to her family and a lady who was highly esteemed as a neighbor and friend. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Davis, interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. - thanks to "S" for both of these :)
