-- Mrs. Sallie PILE (sic) died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. TC Suttonon Saturday. Funeral services at the Marshall Baptist Church on Monday afternoon were in charge of Rev. HH Elmore. Mrs. Frank Gardner and Mrs. Fred Rice sang In the Garden and It is Well and mrs. Elmore sang, The City Foursquare. The pallbeaers were grandsons of the deceased: Nova Pyle of Clinton; Virgil Pyle of Veedersburg; Wayne Pyle of Crawfordsville; Ferris Pyle of Rockville and LC Pyle and CE Pyle of Marshall. Burial in Bethany cemetery. Sallie J. WHITAKER was born in Tennessee on Sept 3, 1849. She married George Pyle in Tomkinsville, Kentucky Nov 3, 1885. They moved to Parke County in 1900. There are two children: Mrs. Electa Sutton and Mrs. Ava Moore; 5 stepsons, who were very dear to her: Iva Knuckle and John Pyle of Glasgow, Ky; Luther Pyle of Oklahoma; George Pyle of Montgomery County and James Pyle of near Veedersburg. kbz
