Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review, 19-Feb-1947
Mrs. U.G. Vail, 511 East Wabash Avenue, is in receipt of word of the death of a cousin, John Paul Proctor, 64, at Inglewood, Cal. Mr. Proctor was born Feb 13, 1883, in Crawfordsville, the son of Nathan P.H. Proctor and Louisa Hanna Proctor. When he was seven years of age his mother died and he went to live in the home of his uncle and aunt, Adam and Frances Baldwin Hanna, on their farm near Waveland. In early manhood, Mr. Proctor went first to Missouri and later to California where he was associated for many years with a lumber firm. An injury which he suffered left him a semi-invalid for the last five years. Mr. Proctor is survived by his widow; a sister, Mrs. Mary Olson, of Fort Snelling, Minn., and two nephews, Henry D. Olson, of Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont., and John P. Olson, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps in California. A foster-sister, Sara Hanna Vail, also survives.
Thanks to Sue P. for this one :) Greatly appreciated !
