Mrs. Madge Courtney Prince, a former resident of Crawfordsville and widow of Ben Prince, passed away at her home in Memphis, Tennessee, Sunday morning according to a message received here. Her death occurred at six o'clock.
Mrs. Prince was well known in this city, having visited here several times in recent years. She was born in Crawfordsville and was 46 years old. Her husband who was a veteran of the World war died in 1920.
For the past several years she had been identified with the Memphis Commercial Appeal. Those surviving are a sister, Mrs. John Merrill and a brother Robert G. Courtney, both of Memphis. A brother Ned Courtney preceded her in death by passing away in April 1931. The body will be brought to Crawfordsville Tuesday afternoon over the Monon and taken to the Utterback-Murphy funeral home where it will be kept until Wednesday morning a short service will be held at the Oak Hill cemetery and the burial will be made in the family lot there. – thanks to Kim H
