Benjamin Barton Price was born Feb 1, 1852; departed this life Jan 2, 1899 aged 46 years 11 months and 1 day. He was married to Sarah J Fouts Aug 28, 1877. To this union 5 children – four daughters and one boy was given, a girl having died in infancy. Three brother and three sisters survive him and with the wife and children mourn his death. Barton Price has been a great sufferer. For six long years, his life has been slowly ebbing away until the final call came on Monday and his spirit was freed from his emaciated and diseased body. Through all his suffering he was patient and amid his greatest pain he tried to be cheerful. The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday by Rev. Henson from the Baptist Church and though the day was a very bad one, a large audience of relatives and friends were present. The interment was made at the Masonic Cemetery. -s
