Clare E. Presslor, 72, died today in Small Rest Home, Waynetown. He had made his home here with a daughter, Mrs. Charles Grady of 803 E. Market from 1957-1970 when he entered the rest home. Prior to that he had been employed in Parke Co as a farmer and by the B&O RR. Born Aug 10, 1900 in Parke he was a son of Richard and Martha Ross Presslor. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Grady are 3 other daughters, Mrs. Geneva Lisnick of Chicago; Mrs. Martha Smitha of Denver, Ill and Mrs. Max Billingsley of Indianapolis and 8 sons: Joseph of Marshall; Eugene; David; Paul; Kenneth and William all of Indianapolis; Melvin of Rockford, Ill and Delbert of Witchita KS. Graveside rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Parke County with Rev. John VanVactor officiating. Friends may call at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Note: next day's paper - Mrs. Lowell Cunningham of Judson, a sister of Clare Presslor who died Tuesday was omitted from the list of survivors. Several grandchildren also survive. Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Parke Co. Friends may call at Machled & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland after 6 p.m. today.
