The funeral of Mrs. A. E. Poole, who died at Las Vegas, New Mexico, took place from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Dawes, of Bozeman, Montana, January 12, 1899.
The deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Dawes, and was born in Moulton, Northampton shire, England, and came to Canada with her parents, spending most of her childhood days in Brantford. Here she met Mr. A. E. Poole, and after a courtship of five years, they were married. Sometime afterward they moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana, where they have since made their home, until a short time ago, when Mrs. Poole contracted a severe attack of the grip, and thinking her health might be improved by a change of climate, they moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico. She failed to get any relief from the change, and death ended her suffering on January 6, at the age of 36 years, 11 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Poole has long been an earnest worker in church affairs and was a member of the First Baptist Church for 21 years. She leaves a grief stricken husband and two sweet boys, aged three and twelve years, besides a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely departure. -s
