Lee V. Pointer, 82, died about 9:30 a.m. Friday at his home, 1420 Elm St. Pointer was employed by R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co, until his retirement in 1954. Born Nov. 28, 1884, in Boone County, he was a son of Thompson G. and May Fergerson Pointer. He was twice married. He was first married in 1911 to Elise Bowman. His second marriage, in 1934, was to Letha Paxton who survives. He attended school in Boone County and was a member of the Christian Church Survivors in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Patty Scott of Lafayette and Mrs. George Bailey of Indianapolis; a stepson Austin Paxton of Frankfort; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen Piper of Chicago, Mrs. Juanita Heady of Yakama, Wash., Mrs. Betty Roche of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Jean Wilson of Crawfordsville; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Powers Funeral Home here with Eddie Bamish officiating. Interment will be in Mace K of P Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. - typed by Chris M.
