Rosina M. Platt, 83 Succumbs at Palmer Apartments Mrs. Rosina M. Platt, 83 who had spent her whole life in Montgomery county, died Sunday at 5:40 a.m. at the Palmer Apartments. She had been in failing health for one year. Born near Crawfordsville on October 22, 1870, she was the daughter of Richard and Eliza Jane Johnson Chasteen. In 1888, she was married to Thomas J. Platt, she preceded her in death July 1917. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Gertrude Platt with whom she had been living; two sons, Carl of Kokomo and James of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William, in 1909, and a twin sister, Mrs. Hattie Goble, in January, 1953. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Profitt and Sons Funeral home, with the Rev, George King officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
