Pittinger - Martha - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Waynetown April 16 - Mrs. Martha Pittinger, 88, died at 4 o’clock this afternoon at the home of her niece, Mrs. Howard Myer living two miles west of here. She died following a three weeks’ illness. Born Feb 6, 1848, near Mace in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Andrew and Sarah Bratton Crawford and was married to William Pittinger 60 years ago. He died March 4, 1914, and since that time she had lived with Mrs. Myer. With the exception of two years when she lived in Illinois, she spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held from the Myer residence with the Rev. IC Overman officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonicc cemetery. – kbz
