Wingate - Lee C. Ping, 62 a resident of Marshall, died suddenly at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ray Bishop in Wingate. He had gone to visit his sister about a week ago and became ill last Monday. A farmer, he was born Apri 19, 1888 in Somerset Kentucky the son of James and Matilda Frances Godd Ping. He was married to Dora Hubbard, who preceded him in death in 1931. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Louise Hill, Otterbein and Mrs. Luther Williams, Detroit, Michigan; 3 sons, William, Lafayette; George, Maple Valley, Wash; and Pvt Earl Ping in the Army at Camp Stoneman, California; a brother, George of Waveland; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Singleton and Mrs. Lucy Bastin both of Central City, Kentucky; Mrs. Arch Davis, Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Albert Christey, Seelyville and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Federated Church in Marshall. Burial at Russellville. Friends may pay their respects at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown until noon Wednesday. kbz
