VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Carrie M. Pickett, 72, died at 11 p.m. Monday (Jan. 15, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient the past three weeks. Born in rural Fountain County near Attica, Feb. 17, 1900, she was the daughter of John and Bertha Smith Florey. She was married Oct. 9, 1920, to John William Pickett, who preceded her in death. She was educated at Rob Roy near Attica and was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Wilma Mynes Of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Betty Hudson of Veedersburg, Mrs. Freda Rich of Danville, Mrs. Delores Wilson of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Katheryn Lamb of Tangier and Mrs. Ann Cushman of Uniondale; two sons, Paul Dean of Covington and Robert D. of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Berle Shoaf of Veedersburg and Mrs. Claude Linker of Catlin, Ind.; a brother, Clifford Florey of Veedersburg: a granddaughter she reared, Mrs. Sharon Keller of Veedersburg; 21 other grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Kendrick, and three brothers, John, Carl and Carroll. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. -- typed by Walt W
