There has seldom been a death of such peculiar sadness as that of Delta Picket, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Picket, which occurred on Sunday night at their home in this city. The cause of death was peritonitis and the illness was of less than one week. The condition of the young woman was not deemed critical until the day of her death. On the 10th of April the beautiful girl would have been 19 years old. She was a lovely young woman, possessed of every grace that makes her sex attractive. The stricken parents are inconsolable. The funeral was on Tuesday afternoon from the Christian Church and was conducted by Elder Plunket. Interment at Oak Hill. - kbz
