Piatt - Clora

DARLINGTON – Mr. and Mrs. Grover Smith were in Kalamazoo, Mich., last Saturday afternoon to attend funeral services for Mrs. Smith’s cousin, Mrs. Clora Piatt. Mrs. Piatt, 69, died in St. Mary’s Hospital at Kalamazoo after a heart attack. She was born near Bowers. After her marriage to Mr. Piatt she lived in Thorntown and Darlington before moving to Kalamazoo 27 years ago. Survivors include the husband; two sons, Ralph and Walter Piatt, of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Mrs. Vernon Brasseau of Effingham, Ill., and Mrs. Forrest Geopper, of Joliet, Ill., a half-sister, Mrs. Donald King of Indianapolis and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Trinity Methodist Church at Kalamazoo. Burial was in Memorial Garden. – jlr
