Mary Cloe Pyle, 90, of Rt. 7, Crawfordsville died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday in Carmen Nursing Home. Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Methodist Church. She was born June 4, 1883, in Parke County, a daughter of Jacob and Nancy Alexander McClain. She married George Pyle in 1904. He died in 1968. She was educated in Parke County schools. Surviving are a son. Harold of Waveland; two daughters, Mrs. Chauncy (Maxine) Blaydes of Ladoga and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Campbell of Crawfordsville; a brother, Raymond McClain of Rockville; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Smiley and Mrs. Cozette Phillips of Rockville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Vance, who was killed in World War II in France; a daughter, Mydell Fergerson, and a sister. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. – jlr
