DARLINGTON- Byron (Jack) Peterson, 66, a resident of the Darlington community for most of his early life, died at his home in Kokomo Monday afternoon. He had been ill for only a short time. Mr. Peterson has been retired for two years. Before retirement he was engaged in the automobile business. He was born Oct. 7, 1892, in the Potato Creek area north of Darlington, the son of Charles and Millie Hines Peterson. His first wife, Ruth Honecher of Darlington died Oct. 14, 1941, and he married Louise King of Kokomo in 1946. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert of Duboise, Ind.; two sister, Mrs. Geneva Teale of Darlington and Mrs. Norman L. Thompson of Sarasota, Fla., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Peacock Funeral Home in Kokomo. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Darlington.
