Linden Mrs. Jessie L. Peters, 76, life resident of the county, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at Scott Nursing Home in Lafayette. She had been ill six weeks. She at one time operated a restaurant in Linden and later was employed at the Donnelley plant in Crawfordsville. Born March 15, 1890, at New Richmond, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Robison Henderson. She was married Oct 14, 1914 in Illinois to William A. Peters. He died in December 1949. Mrs. Peters was educated in the Linden School. She was a member of the Linden Methodist Church and Women's Society of Christian Service. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Peters; two step daughters, Mrs. Walter Line and Mrs. Roy Robison; three stepgrandsons and several step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Helms Funeral Chapel in Linden with Rev. Willis Syphers in charge. Burial in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 3 p.m. Friday.- typed by kbz
