Peterman - Hazel Russell

Mrs. Hazel E. Peterman, 51-year-old former Crawfordsville resident, died suddenly about 1 p.m. Sunday at her home in Houston, Tex. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Peterman and her husband, Forrest, moved to Houston in 1950. She was born Jan. 9, 1915, to John and Eva Smith Russell. She was born in Putnam County and attended schools in Greencastle, Coatesville and North Salem. She was married to Forrest Peterman Sept. 5, 1936. Survivors in addition to the husband are a son, Richard D., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Cavnor of Houston; four sisters, Mrs. Zella Baxter of North Salem and Mrs. Eileen Hicks, Mrs. Ruth Stewart and Mrs. Esther Surber, all of Crawfordsville; two grandsons, a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. (CST) Wednesday at the Waltrip Funeral Chapel, Campbell Road, in Houston. Burial will be in a Houston cemetery. – jlr
