VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) - Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman for Gerry D. Perry, 24, of Veedersburg Route 2, who was dead-on-arrival at 10:40 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 14, 1974) after being involved in a fight at Alamo. (See story, page 1.) The Rev. Jimmy Dowers will officiate. Burial will be in the Coopers Chapel Cemetery northwest of Cates. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born Dec. 27, 1949 at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Gerald and Mildred Keller Perry. On Oct 15, 1971 he married Shirley Cook, who survives. Mr. Perry was self-employed as a contractor and millwright. Survivors include a son, Gerry D. II at home, his parents of Veedersburg Route 2, two brothers, Conrad of Kingman Route 1, and Terry of Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Lee (Hope) Riley, Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Smith and Mrs. (Winona) Jackson, all of Indianapolis and Mrs. Earl (Jeri) Robbins of Veedersburg Route 2; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Perry of Kingman Route 1 and several nieces and nephews.
