ROMNEY—Mrs. Emma Perry, 75, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. She had been ill three weeks and hospitalized two weeks. Born June 8, 1884, in Tippecanoe County, she was a daughter of George and Margaret Royer Lafferty. She married Charles D. Perry July 1, 1903. He died Feb. 12, 1954. Mrs. Perry lived most of her life in this community and was a member of the Romney Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Stephenson of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville; four sons, Milford C. and Albert E., both of New Richmond, Ora F. of Monitor and Elmer J. of Lafayette; two brothers, Robert Lafferty of Battle Ground and Fred Lafferty of Green Hill; a sister, Bessie McDaniel of Battle Ground; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Helms Funeral Home at Linden with Rev. Robert Shanklin in charge. Burial will be in Romney Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
