Perkins - Mary West

Mrs. Mary Emily Perkins, 58, widely known resident of this community, died at 1 o'clock Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Skelton, southwest of Roachdale. She was born in Hendricks County near North Salem on May 22, 1869. Her husband, William Perkins died on Jan 18, 1911. She is survived by two sons, Ransom L. Perkins of North Salem and Orville C. Perkins, who is a member of the 1927 graduating class at Roachdale HS and one daughter, Mrs. Skelton, with whom she had lived for the past two years. One son died in 1895 at the age of six years. The funeral will be held from the Roachdale Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Thomas of Danville in charge. Burial in Roachdale Cemetery. -- typed by kbz
