Kennard PERKINS, a former resident died in Elkhart on Friday. He had been in poor health for several months following a major operation. He was the son of Emmert and Stella Wilson Perkins and was born in Indianapolis July 4, 1905. In 1934 he married Miss Irene Heater of Elkhart and afterwards made his home in that city. The wife survives with two sons, Roger and Philip and one sister, Mrs. Ellsworth Stuckey. With his parents Mr. Perkins lived for a number of years in Waveland and attended our school. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Christian Church. Funeral and burial at Elkhart, Monday. - transcribed by kbz
