Mrs. Lafayette Penn died at her home E. of Browns Valley on Monday morning. Funeral services at the New Market Christian Church on Wednesday afternoon were in charge of Rev. J.C. Nelson. She was the daughter of James and Samantha Wray and was born Jan 28, 1863. She married Mr. Penn in 1884. He survives her with one son, Ford Penn and 3 daughters: Mrs. Florence Doyel of Hammond; Mrs. Ruth Linn of Roachdale and Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner of New Market. - kbz
