Mrs. Alma Penick, 93, a former resident of 208 W. Pike St., died Monday evening, Sept. 22, 1980, at Woodland Manor. She had resided there since 1976. A resident of Attica most of her life, she attended the Fairview School in Shawnee Township. She was a member of the Christian Church and Women of the Moose, both of Attica, and several other organizations. Born Aug. 15, 1887, at Rob Roy, she was the daughter of Joseph and Danna Sorrels Jaynes. On Oct. 14, 1906, at Williamsport, she was married to Carl Penick, who died in April 1944. Survivors include four sons Herbert of Rockville, Carlton of Attica R. 4, Herschel of Deltona, Fla., and Robert of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Hughes of Shadeland; 12 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Services this Thursday afternoon at the Maus Funeral Home with Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.   --- typed by CA.
