New Richmond - Mrs. Katie Pendleton, 90 of New Richmond died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville where she had been a patient 5 weeks. Mrs. Pendleton was a member of Jehovah's Witness Church at Crawfordsville. She was born in Hardin County, KY Nov 22, 1884 a daughter of William and Martha Ellen Vowles. She married Paul Pendleton in 1909. They moved to Indiana in 1927. Surviving are five sons, Raymond of Goodland; Burton of Waynetown; Walter of Lafayette; Roy of New Richmond and Harry of Romney; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Stephens of Wingate and Mrs. Leonard (Martha) Fouts of West Point; 29 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1937; a son, Paul Henry in 1961; 3 sisters and 10 brothers. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Gerald Stanton officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
