Rossville -- Mrs. Lydia B. PENCE, 80, widow of Samuel R. Pence who for nearly 60 years was a druggist here, died at 2:00 a.m. Monday in the home of a son, Victor L. Pence at Waveland. She had been ill 8 months. She was born in Clinton Co. Her husband died in 1945. She was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church and engaged in many club activities in the community for over a half century. Surviving are 3 sons, John of Tacoma, Washington; Victor of Waveland and Samuel of Detroit. The body was removed to Rossville where the funeral was conducted and burial was made Wednesday afternoon... Lafayette Journal-Courier.
