Pefley - William Riley

William R. Pefley, one of the oldest and best known men of this community died last evening of Bright's disease. Mr. Pefley was born in Montgomery County January 24, 1828, and came to this township more than forty years ago. His wife died about seven years ago. Six children, five daughters and one son, all of whom are married, survive him. Mr. Pefley owned a fine farm just south of Advance and was a man of good habits and enviable reputation. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday mourning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Cornelius Airhart officiating. -- from B. Mercedes
