Pefley - Rose Tucker
Mrs. S. J. (Rosa E. Tucker) Pefley Mrs. Rosa E. Pefley, about 70 years old, wife of Sherm J. Pefley, died in her home at 56 East Main street at 10 a. .m. Sunday after an illness of two years. She was born in Wabash the daughter of George B. and Julia (Tucker) McKacnan, and had been a lifelong resident of the community. Her marriage to Mr. Pefley occurred in June, 1895. Mrs. Pefley was a member of the First Methodist church, and was active for many years in lodge affairs for the city, belonging to the Eastern Star, the National Delphian society, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Business and Professional Women’s club, Past Matrons’ club of the Eastern Star and the Women’s club. Having been associated in the business world for a number of years, she leaves a host of friends and acquaintances. Besides the husband, Mrs. Pefley is survived by one sister, Mrs. H. L. Beck, and several cousins. The body was taken to the Hoover Funeral home, where friends may call. Services will be held in the funeral home at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon with Dr. O. T. Martin, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
